Thank you for your interest in Liverpool Citizen Advocacy

What we do...

Liverpool Citizen Advocacy (LCA) promotes a form of active citizenship, in which one member of the community makes a commitment to protecting and promoting the rights of another who is in a position of particular disadvantage and/or social exclusion. These rights-focussed relationships are what we call community or informal advocacy partnerships.

Dry Rain by Sakina

Congratulations to Sakina and Fakhira at Dry Rain by Sakina on their England’s Business Award. At an event in Manchester on 14th July, Dry Rain by Sakina was given the award for Liverpool’s Best Gift Shop. We are delighted for Sakina and Fakhira who for years have been very loyal and generous supporters of our work. Their shop in Prescot Street in Liverpool city centre has a wonderfully welcoming and friendly atmosphere.

Milo Lounge, Lark Lane

At the Quiz Night in the Milo Lounge, Lark Lane on Thursday 25th July, we were presented with a cheque for £580 by the Manager, Danny. This was raised as part of Lounge Aid. Danny and Sarah at the Milo Lounge undertook a cycling marathon on our behalf and, together with their colleagues, organised other fundraising efforts. We are very grateful to them not only for these efforts but for their genuine interest in and support for our work. We hold quiz nights at Milo Lounge on the last Thursday of each month.
